    Hi Elaine,
Was wondering whether it would be possible to get hold of a copy of Fur, Feather & Fen for our museum, THe Norris Museum, St Ives? We have a Fenland display on at the moment and I’ve made a bit of a “poetry corner” featuring local poets from Clare to Chris Morgan and have mentioned the Fenland Poet Laureate competition… Also worked with Karen a few years back on a project in St Neots! It’s a small world 🙂 The display is only on until end July, but it would be lovely for our visitors to be able to read your work. Best wishes, Gilly

Hi Gilly, I’d be delighted to send you a copy of ‘Fur, Feather and Fen’ for the Norris Museum. Thank you for mentioning the Fenland Poet Laureate competition in your ‘Poetry Corner’. Let me know where I should send it and I’ll pop it in the post for you. My e-mail is elaine[dot]ewart[at]gmail.com

I’m not sure if I’ll manage to get over to see the exhibition by the end of July, but it would be super if you could let me have a photo of your display, please, and I’ll try to mention it on my blog in due course!

      Best wishes

    Hello Elaine,

I am a Sixth Form student currently undertaking an Extended Project Qualification in Creative Writing, and was wondering what it is that inspires you to write your pieces?

I look forward to your reply,

    Hi Yasmine,
Thank you for your message and your interest! I am inspired by so many different things, it’s difficult to answer. However, the natural world and the fenland landscape is a big inspiration to me, as well as odd little stories I come across about historical figures, and things I read in the news. Sometimes I have two very different ideas in my head and they come together in an interesting way, and I’m always glad when that happens. How about you? What do you find inspiring? Good luck with your studies!
    Best wishes
